Adam Williams (Rose Bikes) flipping out with no hands.
Adam Williams (Rose Bikes) has been around the UK scene for a while now. Many people know him from the roadtrips and subsequent edits to the US he has made with Sam Pilgrim and a host of others. Adam has also had some great contest finishes in Europe and is now the GM at Ramp skatepark as well. We wanted to give you all a little in sight into Adam so we caught up with so you can learn just Who the hell Adam Williams is…
How did you get started riding? I don’t really know when I started riding but as long as I can remember I have always played on bikes and had an interst in them. My earliest memories of riding where as a kid with my mates from school heading up the local woods & just bombing through the muddiest wettest trail we could find and laughing our ass off at different mates crashing as we go down. Their was this one spot called muddy fox or farmers jumps & I remember them being massive jumps like motocross jumps lol but when your young everything seems way scarier they most probably wernt much bigger than me at the time haha but I remember borrowing a friends BmX and trying to jump the first one crashing hard obviously with no pads or helmet on and most probably a pair of track suite bottoms on from the local sports shop lol. After a few go getting back up and trying them I manged to make my way through the first 3 and I will never forget that feeling of just achieving something I thought I could until and scaring the hell out of me and it went from their really & I have been riding ever since.
What keeps you motivated to ride? Learning new tricks or achieving something on my bike I have never done before motivates me more than anything.I’m always learning new things on my bike weather it’s something simple or crazy the goal to push myself when I ride has always been the same. Everyone has off days but sometimes I get so motivated to do something I can’t sleep and it just plays over & over in my head.
Who was/is the most influential person on your riding? The person who made me wanna ride and try my hardest was a local legend called Ed tucker when I was kid growing up Edd was the man on a bike he was the first person I’d seen do tricks or even jump a bike and make it look effortless and still to this day when I see him ride it’s still the same. But the most influential person in my riding is my brother from another mother Danny pace. We have traveled all over the world riding and have been riding together since I was 16 and he’s inflensed me to do things on my bike I have even questioned.

Adam getting what was probably a hard earned high five from Sam Reynolds. Or are they dancing???
What’s Your Preference? Street, Park, Dirt, DH, Vert, Flat? Dirt
Which do you wish you were better at? Street
What was your first bike? Saracen BMX
Whats your favorite trick? Backflip
Where’s your favorite place to ride? Clairmont skatepark
Whats your favorite event? Nass festival
Whats been your best moment with your bike so far? My best moment on my bike by far was when I landed the 720 tailwhip the feeling I felt when I archived it and the way I felt will stick with me for ever. I think it was more the fact that so many people had told me it wernt possible and to just go and smash it was insane!
What’s your favorite story from a road trip? I don’t really have a favorite story from a trip as I had so many good times but one trip that stands out for me was my first ever trip to California. Seeing it all for the first time and riding all the spots I’d seen in videos was just amazing.
How do you feel about the bike scene today? At the moment I really don’t like the MTB scene I think it’s very bitchy and think a lot of people these days ride bikes to try and get sponsored or to make money out of it and that’s no what it’s about. I changed from BmX to MTB years ago for that very reason as the MTB scene was so different before where it made no difference how good you where if you wanted to ride and have fun every rode and got on together.
What type of music do you ride to? Drake
What do you when you are not riding? Look after my son Jaxon & spend time with my girl Aimee
What’s your day job? Manager of Rampskatepark
What are your riding plans for the future? To ride and have fun and to try and influence others to ride
What’s the best advice you have ever received? It makes no difference who we are, we all put our trousers on the same way every morning ( words of Mike Montgomery)
Any last words, thoughts or shout outs?
